There is nothing
I beg to differ with you,
on numb knees
during night’s shade of indifference.
I concede and agree,
bitter stars as my witness,
with all you don’t say
shuddering my universe,
and I’m lost without compass.

daunted, directionless

I am a vagabond
but never once by my own choice,
and unfettered tethers
only trip me when I dance.
But always the wind welcomes me
north, south, east, west,
whispering that I’m complicated
and offering random caress.

haphazard, heedless

I walk capricious beaches,
shifting sand between my toes
and the hourglass fills faster.
Time is but a chimera in the distance
and only a nomad of the past.
The gritty grains of lost love
rub my fickle fingers raw
as they fall from my hands

sprinkling sorrows.

Now, girl, you have me spellbound. You display incredible poetic creativity.

I think only when we know what every direction holds, is it possible to really choose and to find our own center where true balance and consequent strength unfold.

Great write!

Love and hugs.

Yo dear Shellie,

Stick with haphazard and heedless Hon.  It’s more fun that way.

Shellie,  Your words have a way of pulling the reader in, taking them along on your wonderful poetic journey.
I breath them in and let them nourish my soul.

Wow,  What a beautiful write.

Very well done,
Love always,
Tracey.

My dear Brown-eyed Beauty ~

"bitter stars as my witness,
with all you don’t say
shuddering my universe,
and I’m lost without compass."

~ Painfully sad, yet achingly poetic.

"daunted, directionless" ~ I am sharing with you, the compass that I use when I need  direction at those times when I feel overwhelmed and daunted.

"But always the wind welcomes me
north, south, east, west,
whispering that I’m complicated
and offering random caress."

~ May all your winds be zephyrs ~ warm and gentle...

"Time is but a chimera in the distance
and only a nomad of the past."

~ Shellie, my gosh girl, what a writer! Your gift comes with an increased sensitivity to pains and sorrows ~ as well as joy. May the later prevail in your life. God bless you, my dear ss.

Love you!

wow wow wow, this is outstanding poetry.  You make no excuses for who you are, and why should you??
You are a delight,  true to yourself in every form of the word(s).

An honest to goodness, wonderful piece of work, girly girl!!!

Shellie

I agree.  You are quite the poet.  Your words always reach inside of me and make me feel.  I can read you with my eyes closed, I think and still hear the emotion of your poetry.
