Another German Night

She was all things German
inside and out,
danke schoen & auf wiedersehen,
bratwurst & sauerkraut.

In a dance club
called Atlanta
she and I would meet
upon a Friday night
it was a small club
on the far side
where the locals met
to dance and fight.

Her favorite dance
was the slow dance,
they were my favorites too
to hold her close in my arms
was making dreams come true.

There I could inhale her fragrance,
there I could enjoy her gracefulness,
while I kissed her soft & supple lips,
we danced away another German night
within the embrace of our fingertips.

I like this.  German girls do rock.  There isn't a private message space on here so I'm gonna post it in this reply. Thank you is danke schoen and I think the other word you were saying is goodbye or see you again and that is auf wiedersehen.  Hope I didn't offend.  Good write!

Hi James, this is so well and subtle, all emotions "en retenue" thanks for the beautiful moment.

Oh, James, you romantic you! Being hungry in this moment makes me think of what pleasure it would be to have a Bratwurst right now ... kisses can wait!

"Auf Wiedersehen" ... (dear fairiemythc spelled it right, you have to change the "l" into "h").

Sometimes simply reading German words makes me so tremendously nostalgic (though I am a Swiss "girl" ).

Danke schön, lieber James!

Love,
Margrit
