I can't explain the strange allure
a good book seems to hold.
To captivate my wandering mind
and weave a spinner's tale
of spinner's linnen gold.

The majesty, the grace divine,
the humor and the sad
that can be put in every book;
each story, myth or true
and every epic had.

Thick and thin,
small and big,
with treacherous calamities.

Happiness and
loneliness,
with endless possibilities.

That ten-fold tighten novels' grasp;
enticing, twisting plots
that pull the heartstrings, mist the eyes
with diamond sparkling tears
of moments long forgot.

A quandery, an unsolved case
in all the old cliches.
I'll fall into them, deeply lost.
Now carry my afar,
it's time to fly away.

I agree with you there is nothing better than a good book and a comfortable chair to sit in while you read it. Reviewing poems in this workshop to me is just as good.
Great poem here.
