today I went to the chapel
took my best Sunday clothes
the glass shined with color
standing among my fellows

I listen in the silence
for His humble word
My ears straining
to hear a voice never heard

Looking down the aisles,
down the wooden pews
Am I the only one feeling this?
Only one of the few?

Doubt gets the better of me
I'm just not that strong
To be convinced in the invisible
Seems to me all too wrong

"Am I the only one feeling this?"

No, you're not. I have the same doubts.

"I'm just not that strong"

It takes REAL strength to admit one's doubts. Hope you find the strength to come to terms with them.
