Sometimes I wonder...
What if?
What if I never overreacted?
Would we still have broken up?
What if I never started to write?
Would I have expressed my pain another way?
What if I wasn’t as smart as I am?
Would I still try my best?
What if I was beautiful?
Would I still be so willing to learn?
What if I wasn’t cautious?
Would I be dead by now?
What if I could open up?
Would I have fewer enemies?
What if I started to care?
Would they eventually bring me down?
And what if…
What if I wasn’t here?
Would the world still keep spinning?
Would people just forget about me?
Would people actually cheer?
Sometimes I like to wonder…
But I refuse to dwell.

Sadness, like happiness, has its own majestic beauty and must be embraced as a valid emotion, not pushed down as an abnormality.

This is well written and very sage at the same time. Much applause.
