gazing in his eyes
it breaks my heart to see
i'm not the girl he wants
He's looking right through me

I wonder if she knows
just how she has his heart
doesn't he realize
this is tearing me apart

Is he worth the effort
will he get over it
it hurts to see it happen
a little more than I'll admit

his fake hugs and kisses
his I love you line
I always let it happen
He gets me everytime

how much longer can I take
his fake happy disposition
if only he could understand
I have a woman's intuition

Invisible i am
Not seen or heard
Not guilty glance
nor whispered word

Like glass i am
a smoke charade
he seems to find
then lost i fade

Yet pity i am
For i consign
That fool who misses
My light that shines
