I sit on the edge of twilight,
The afternoon/evening of my mind
Waiting, wishing for the world to change
Sitting through the dark hours
That await the suns shining rays

Time changes everything
My hopes, my dreams, mistakes
Softening the edges,
Like an old film
But yet, hurt burns inside

I know I am right,
I can feel it in my soul
Things are never what they seem at first
The wonder and terror of life
Swallows my emotion, and I am not

To disappear, even for a moment
My first and greatest desire
Misery becomes me, and I feel weakened
Deranged by your selfishness
I must promise to overcome

I can care for myself,
The way they tell me to,
I can't put you first anymore
It kills me with every passing moment
So I run to find happiness, peace, joy

I know it won't be easy
But God promises it's worth it
So, I believe

Thanks, I miss this place, I'm trying to get in the habit of writing more, but it's difficult with mid terms.
