It hurts
so much that I can't breathe.
It hurts
so much that I don't want to.
It hurts
so much that I can't speak
and couldn't
even if I cared to tell you.

They fall
like raindrops fall from heights.
They fall
on roses black with pain.
They fall
caressing shattered me;
They fall
and leave me tasting rain.

They burn
like embers on my skin.
They burn;
cuts pouring; gushing spurts.
They burn;
memos branded in my flesh;
your memory
dear because it hurts.

Nothing is more painful than realizing he meant everything to you, but you meant nothing to him. (Unknown)

Beautifully emotive.

'I feel like an animal, and I don't think that I get it. But one day I'll see you around.'

Wow. I really liked the repetitive theme and the emotion deep in the words. So simple and yet they hide truth beyond those words. Beautiful.
