They don’t know us.
They have no idea
what our life’s about.

They don’t talk about us.

They don’t want the kids
to know about our lives.

We know them.
We know everything
that they are about.

We talk about them all the time.

We tell our kids about them,
and their silly lives.

Bobby

Interesting poem, Bobby, and interesting thought.

Maybe they know you better than you think.  Maybe they say the same thing .. that you don't know them.

Yo dear Alison,

You'd be surprised what I've learned, and where I've been in my 71 plus years.

“Comes the Revolution!”

Bobby, that is kind of my point.  You might be surprised to realize that I am not surprised by that fact.  I have read your books, most of your poems here and many of your replies.  I know that you are well-traveled and have experienced a lot.

But, see - maybe people are more aware than you realize or give them credit.  Just a thought for the sake of discussion.

You know I am a fan.

Yo dear Alison,

Perhaps I'm slowing down, and getting even bitterer in my old age.

Are there happy pills for that?

Bye the way, I don't really consider myself old.

I'm an accomplished liar, and always will be.

Yo Bobby,

What's the word? Oh yes!  Curmudgeon (checks my dictionary for spelling) -- good thing I looked it up.  Had it Crumudgeon!

Anyway, I think that you really kind of like an m&m - you have a thin layer of crust over a sweet interior.

Whatever you are, I have grown to really care about you.

Love,

Thanks dear Alison,

And I care about you.  I try to be nice to everyone.  Sometimes I don't make it.

I was just talking to "Angelo" on the phone.  He and his wife are planning a trip to Niagra Falls.

It's about time those kids had some fun.

Thanks dear Alison,

I thought you were from Australia, and here you're from Arkansas.  I've worked a lot in Arkansas in the past.  It's a wonderful state, full of wonderful, friendly people.

Of course I like Australia too.

Yo Alison,

Alaska, wow.  I have been through Alaska on my way to Japan and China, however, I was only there for a few hours.

I bet it's a lovely place.

Love Bobby
