once,
when stress gobbled
lively personalities and
spit out soul-less students,
I comforted,"life is
too short for unhappiness"

months later,
when my chirpiness
felt too forced,
a student uttered that sentiment.

the wheel of life binds
the teacher and the student:
I get inspired by the lesson I impart my student.

Wonderful story, Heng, of how a kind word, uttered with sincerity, creates a circle of compassion.

Hi Kaile
I really like your thoughts and enjoyed your poem...You are free and point out very subtle subjects and fact of life....
I bow to your wisdom...
and wait for the next poem....
