A Tribute to Ron, Master Poet
To his talent and his gracious spirit

Pallid is this ink of passion
That would sketch a poet face
Frail the arms of veneration
That would hold him in embrace
Humble are the eyes that cradle thoughts that breathe his hallowed space

He who sits atop a rock-cliff
He who casts a boulder’s weight
Is the same who scatters petals
Lightly by a garden gate
Thoughts profoundly wrapped in velvet , pallid ink would consecrate

Poignant truths of other ages
Wait the morn of their rebirth
Gentle birds with fragile feathers
Captured in a petal verse
Folded into paper pages, pressed between the sky and earth

Oh, what manner of a poet
Could contrive such splendid tales
Only few could tread the waters
Where he glides on starlit trails
As his eyes reach out to touch my spirit,
-Then away he sails!

You've always been my Lady Santos...
but you have always known that.
It's when you tribute selflessly
that we see you tip your hat;
to do that is the Wiz's delight
to do that, is all that matters...
for delightful is the gifts you bring
to all of us mad-hatters!

~*~

Elizabeth...thank you!

Love,

I totally concur with your eloquent words that aptly describe our illustrious Ron. Not only is he the venerable captain of the Pip Ship Lollipip! He is a fine poet, writer, benefactor and promotor of the poetic arts ~ and he's brilliant to boot!

Lady Liz, a fine tribute to a very fine man!

Sending a huge hug to each of you!

Linda

Without Ron's creation of Passions, I would have never met you, dear Liz. That alone would be enough to give eternal thanks.

Many friendships have been formed on these blue pages, brought together by a man with a vision and a love of the written word. We are all fortunate to have received the benefits of his desire and hard work.
