That ol' black dog called Blue
been gnawin' at my bones
I aint got nothin' for the pain
I'm goin' to the graveyard
Gonna check out all the stones
Find myself another name

Trouble comes in the evening
Trouble comes in the morn
Trouble comes
just as sure as you're born
If Trouble had a lottery
or a roulette wheel to spin
Odds are good I'd always win

You'll hear me shout
if I find a four leaf clover...
'cause my back goes out
every time that I bend over
Take what you want
when my earthly race is through
I leave my troubles all to you

Another gloomy day
Sun shinin' down so bright
I tried to bust it with a stone
My mind feels like a church house
that always seems packed tight...
where everyboby sits alone

I'm told I'm made of mud
Wash it away or you're stay blind
But I sling it everywhere...
spinnin' wheels most all the time
I'm lookin' for some high ground
Dry ground I hope to find
But that dark cloud of Life
keeps rainin' on my mind

You'll hear me shout
if I find a four leaf clover...
'cause my back goes out
every time that I bend over
Take what you want
when my earthly race is through
I leave my troubles all to you

That ol' black hand of Death
been pointing at me all my days
So, let's high-five and go deep six
Don't be so embarrassed
to show your boney face
Let's skinny dip in the river Styx

But, another day is dawning
and my lungs are feeling full
I rise up from the bed...
glad I have a beard to pull
I just went and exhaled
so I guess I have to breathe
Until it's time for me to leave

You'll hear me shout
if I find a four leaf clover...
'cause my back goes out
every time that I bend over
Take what you want
when my earthly race is through
I leave my troubles all to you

I know this tune, I just have a different lyric.

And I'm jumpin' on this, because I love the blues, and this especially--

"My mind feels like a church house
that always seems packed tight...
where everyboby sits alone"

ain't it the truth?

Love your music!

DearestUriah~
You are plucking the poetic blues so purty~

I like THIS -
'I'm lookin' for some high ground
Dry ground I hope to find
But that dark cloud of Life
keeps rainin' on my mind'

Yup ... I know just what ya' mean~
But I'm gonna make that dark cloud turn BRIGHT~
Then it can rain sunbeams all it wants~

Thank you for being you~
For being here~

Enjoyed very much - and I know about backs and four leaf clovers but, what the hell, I bend anyway!
