How much do you think like me?
Do we both hate the color pink?
murmer murmer
gaveling
order
(or conformity)

Your eyes are brown.
My eyes are blue.
I could pretend
to think like you
bending me
to suit your truth--

love-me-love-me-love-me

please...

forgive me

my identity

I'll just keep nodding as you speak

in silence, stamped "approved".

"I could pretend
to think like you
bending me
to suit your truth--"

I have done this (I am not proud) and it has been done to me...

It hurts either way.

love you.

I'm holding a pair of "Sues."

serenity blaze - you do write well about feelings and know how to express them in words...

Thanks for popping in to see me, Bill.

Serenity - Like all women we nod until we don't and we pretend until we don't.  What happens thereafter is a mystery until it's lived.  Then maybe we'll say "we should have" or maybe we'll say "we just couldn't have" but either way it's an end and a beginning.

Enjoyed your thoughts.

~ Yeppers! Methinks a contingency plan is most assuredly in order!

Karen, never apologise for who you are - rather boast about it!  I would if I EVER COULD be you!

Enjoyed your poem, and your delightful response about the pair of "Sues"!  Imagine if you weren't who you are, we wouldn't have had either the poem or that response - and we would be the poorer for it.

VERY well said!

"forgive me

my identity (!)"

serious applause for this most effective 'penning'!

I'm always at a loss to explain myself anyway--that's like trying to dig your way out of a hole.

Thanks for the support as I continue with my personal campaign to not totally hate me even as I try to do better.

Good thing each day is a new one, eh?
