A State of Disarray

0 posted 2008-11-17 08:10 AM

His gentle brush glides along
And smoothes her graying hair
Tilting back he guides her chin
Lips meet in supple dance

She turns and slides
To straddle narrow hips
Surrendering completely
Unto his reverent kiss

They pause to break
Then eyes meet eyes
Minds say a knowing,
Aching need

She leaves him then
Disrobing as she turns
He follows suit behind her
And in quiet room they fall

Every cherished wrinkle
Each remembered scar
A history of loving
Of oneness they become

Subtle touch of stroking
Taste and sound revered
Then the noise of banging
And the words…

“Hey, Mom, we’re here!”

Ahhh ... the moments life brings to us and how quickly they can be taken away.  Made me chuckle at the end.  Wonderful write and sensual as well.

So beautiful and tells a fabulous story. I grinned at the ending. I like how it is romantic and then adds a bit of humor at the end. Lovely write.

I loved the poem, complete with wrinkles and scars and assurances that love is ageless... and then the ending... absolutely priceless! LOL
