EUPHORIA
21 June 1982

Sometimes there is infinitely more
intimacy and ecstasy
in
two heads raised to follow
the flight of a heron
than there is in
the highest moment
of passion.

Why?

If you are lucky enough to find a partner with whom you can enjoy the graciousness of the flight of a heron, it means you have more in common than a fleeting moment of sensual release.
But I think in both of those moments we seek to be one with divine beauty ... and when we are aware of this, we really have reason to be euphoric.

Wonderful, my dear Diana, you are DEEP.

Love,
Margherita

Because there is more peace in that moment than there ever is in passion...and you can share it even with a friend.

Thank you Roniece, Ida, Margherita and amusemi for your fascinatingly diverse responses.  It is a lovely feeling to see that I have made people wonder . . . something I delight in doing myself. . .

Thanks, Bill.  Glad I made you wonder too.

Thanks, Karilea.  I believe you hit the poor little nail on its little head!

Thank you Pantheress.  You missed my point, but perhaps you haven't been one of those particular heads . . . Thanks for reading and enjoying.

Ah, Diana. Why indeed?  Is it that passion is found in the beauty of nature around us.  Maybe the heron are foreplay of a beautiful moment shared between two kindred spirits?

Love and hugs to you,
A
