FULL CIRCLE
18 July 2008

Wrenched out of
the comfort
of her solitude,
she unfolded
her wings
slowly
and exposed them
to the blessings
of the early rays
of the rising sun,
warming her
deeply,
too
deeply
and
the sun
exploded
and she folded
her wings
slowly,
too slowly,
exposing
her heart
to the arrows
of darkness
which penetrated
deeply,
too deeply
and she shivered
and
died.

Yes, it looks like it was a question of timing!

This is a stunning write, dear Diana.

This too, hurts!

Love and hugs.

I like the repetition in it.
It is effective.

I hope you are not writing about an...owl.
Is everthing okay? I always worry about you
with all those break-ins and such.

Thanks, Skaadee.  I must say again, that the first poem of yours I read, just blew me away.  I can't wait to read others.  I will have to, though for a short while as have things that I need to go out and do!

Thanks for the concern, Ida.  I was, in fact, writing about me, though it wasn't literal - just a relationship - and it was a while ago.  Talking about security, though, last night the globe in my security semi-spotlight blew and (I have had no street light outside my house for most of this year, in spite of repeated, repeated and repeated complaints) within 15 minutes (if not 10), there was a mugging across the road at the scout hall and a car broken into.  As far as I have been able to establish, the muggee is OK.  I will have more details on this tomorrow.

Thank you, poddarku.  I am glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you Heng for noticing that what seemed like blessings, turned out not to be, and like Skaadee, noticing the repetition, and for your sensitive enjoyment of my poem.

Yes, "FULL CIRCLE" ~ with a very sad ending.

The butterfly was so delicate and hopeful. My spirit lifted with her ascent in the sunshine. But her subsequent scorching and fall into the darkness, caused my spirit to fall with hers.

A very touching write, my friend. I hope all is well with you.

With love,
Linda

Thanks, Lynda for your beautiful and kind and caring words.  They are very much appreciated.  I'm sorta OK with all of that now, but my life is extremely stressful at the moment.  I seem to say that a lot.

Thanks Paul, for really feeling my poem.

Thank you Alison.  You have no idea how much your beautiful kind, touching words and thoughts help - no, that is silly of me, of course you do, that is why you said/thought them!  You have put a happy smile on my face.

Reality can sting sometimes, we can only hope that there are offsets of happiness in between to make up for moments such as these.  I really enjoyed this alot.

Thank you so much, nourzihane.  I am enjoying the flowers!     God bless you too.

Thank you Mark.  Thank you for the kind thoughts.  There are always very happy moments for me in between.  I enjoy my own company (and even more my cat's and dog's company!) and I am very blessed in my ability to celebrate my surroundings, such as my indigenous forest garden and my street light which is now working (it has only worked about 3 weeks this year) - as this makes me feel safer at night, especially as 3 of my security lights have also now had their globes replaced!

Hey Nourzihane!  I didn't realise that there really was a picture of flowers for me!  I thought that your link was perhaps to your poetry and so I answered your answer first, and then went into the link - and hey presto!  There was a really beautiful bunch of roses!  Thank you.  That was such a sweet thought.

Effective.

Full of life.

Full of death.

The scheme is awesome, I can never get my pieces to flow quite as well as that....

Thank you, Paul and, for the record, I must tell you that I found your response, poetic, succinct and clever and I thought it flowed well.

Glad you enjoyed it.
