Hold me now
I'm scared
it's time for sleep
I'm not prepared
for nightmares
and waking up again
to see how I fared.

Hold me now
I'm bitter cold
from all the dreams
we bought and sold
knowing if we kept them
for too long
they would grow old.

Hold me now
keep me still
silence the voices
of fear until
I can find forgiveness
between loss and grief
beyond the ache
of the chill.

My heart has never, won't ever . . . turn you loose my friend - on that you can count.
Other than that I really liked this piece and am always envious of the way you say so much in rhyme.
