numbers, only numbers
never faces in the crowd
just numbers

numbness, only numbness
never feelings in my soul
just numbness

nothing, simply nothing
swallows substance
into emptiness

seeping, searing threadbare
sifting barrenness as a blesssing

watching life just drift on by
