On that faithful morning-
Not a whisper of things to pass.
But by the lazy noon hour-
Life would raise it's tragic head.

A wedding left-
Only as wishful plans.
Goals of the future-
Laid to rest on the shoulders of one.
A blossoming love-
Buried all too soon.

With a handful of dirt-
She raised her bowed head.
Though life had shifted under her-
She would continue with their plans.
Always remembering-
The love she had known.

In the memory of Randy. Our love made me a stronger person and even in your passing that person remains forever in me. I will love you always for that lasting gift.

Know yourself before you try to know someone else.

Cory,

this beautiful tribute reminds me of Lane Frost.

Was your beloved a rider, as well?

Please share more of his eventful life...you've a story to tell, and we are grateful poets who have heart enough to listen...

I'm so sorry for your loss.

No he wasn't a rider but he was a cowboy at heart. Sorry I've been gone so long. Life just seems to have gotten away from me but I'm back with lots of new ideas.

Know yourself before you try to know someone else.
