Inconsolable summers….
I think of my past…
I think of children’s shouts
mixing with waves…
I feel the warm sand
singing under my feet
and I see crabs
building up under seaweeds,
I see gulls going away
with the sun which goes to bed in a fire,
I smell the big perfumes of the earth
crossing the horizon
in baths of peace of mind….
Inconsolable summers…
my Childhood exists for ever…

Much enjoyed the visuals in this and this line ...

I feel the warm sand
singing under my feet

I loved it.  I know that song and dance and love the way the sand just wraps around the feet when the surf lends a caress along the shoreline.

This is a beautiful piece of nostalgia and I am certain that many others share the same feelings about theire childhood. Well done for producing such a little but shining gem.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Thank you Mark, I can only tell it in french : ce sont de sacrés souvenirs (these are wonderful memories), I'm glad you enjoyed the poem and perhaps remembered such moments on a beach....

Thank you David, you totally gripped it, a piece of nostalgia indeed, but such wonderful memories....The life of a child on a beach without thinking, just enjoying the sun, the sand, the flavours, the sound of the sea, the presence of the family, there is a kind of eternity in such moments....

thanks again for your comment....
