I wonder less now but still
if I could fall in love again,
I don't pay much good will
to all these handsome men.

I've got too much on my plate
to be snacking on the side,
and I sure don't need the extra weight,
heavy are those tears I cried.

When I decide that I am done
with everything I need to do,
I may stop and settle under the sun,
the ton of bricks of you.

Passing shadows,

Hey, I like this one.  I got a kick out of that ton of bricks.

Dixie girl, I admire your poetic skills and your determination here.

Love and hugs.

Excellent metaphors, little one.
I love the new strength you've
found within yourself.

You're getting wise with the 'passing' of the years! Life would be a lot easier if that were true for the rest of humanity!
