Where no tyranny is tolerable

Where does poi come from?
Well, I think I know who eats it,
or rather, where they live where they eat it.
But where does it come from?
No, really, seriously ...
Do they make it in factories, or what?
Does it grow on trees?
You know, a poi tree???????
Woops!
Did I just say poi tree ... poetry?
O, dear; O dear ...
Inspiration from trees????
And where do marsh mellows come from?
No, seriously, truly, really, really???
I have never seen a marsh mallow plant,
although Colorado doesn't have much marsh land.
As far as I can tell,
they come from stores,
probably in bags or boxes.
Marsh mallows can also be found in hot chocolate.
Apples and bananas
can be found growing naturally in grocery stores.
Baking soda comes in boxes,
but where do they get it?
No, really, seriously, truly, truly???
Does it grow on trees, like tamales?
Or on plants, like wild chalupa and taco plants?
Water comes from faucets.
It'so OBVIOUS.
Milk comes from  trees.
Rubber bands can be found around newspapers.
It is very easy to find rubber bands.
You Don't have buy
popcorn and hot dogs in a movie theater,
because they're all over the floor.

LOL, enjoyed this, especially the popcorn part, as it is so true!
But rubber bands...easy! that sticky stuff originate from rubber trees!

Jaime,

This is a wonderful poem.  I love the whimsy of it all.  And I wonder some of these things too from time to time.
