Hey Mister,
Could you spare a quarter or a penny?
‘Cause I ain’t got any.
Every cent is spent of drink,
But it’s not like you think,
I just drink to forget
And I could always quit.

Hey Mister,
Could you spare a quarter or a dime?
‘Cause I could use some wine,
Whiskey would be better yet
But I’ll take what I’ll get
To chase away the memory
Of what’s tormenting me.

Hey Mister,
Those memories are coming back
And I need to fade them to black
Forget them before they can return
And I can’t help but yearn
For her.

With long dark hair,
Pale white skin so fair
And painted lips of deep red,
Please help get out of my head.
Brown eye that see you heart
A voice so sweet it rips you apart
In a vase of soft skin’s delight
That cold yet will warm your night.
Fingers that know just how to touch,
Please a man can only stand so much!

Hey Mister,
Help my mind not to think
Let it drown in strong drink,
She must be forgot.

Thanks for the Five spot.

Gloom

I find myself at times wishing I could forget him... and I do with a little wine - but it always comes back.

How do we rid our minds of them, forever?
