Winter Lake A lone young night heron… wings a sunset fire-sky over sharp black mountains mirrored in frozen ripples on this lake of winter dreams. A solitary battered boat… lies in stasis mid the melting ice rings along the shore… biding time. |

This is word pictures at its finest..the thought behind its construction is fine...perhaps it could do with more words? Not too many more?It's just that it gives you a taste but maybe more of a taste would leave us more saitsfied..but great poem..thank you.. Goldenrose.
