On A Journey To The Unknown

I Am Always There

It doesn’t seem to matter
How sick she may be
Her criticism never stops
She throws out at me

I listen to her praise others
Making them look good
Then, I think back to those times
When I did all I could

I tried so hard to please her
To only be disappointed again
I remember thinking to myself
I just didn’t seem to fit in

I often wondered, who was I
Where did I really belong
How is it that everything I did
Could always be so wrong

Still today, her words never stop
Her words will always hurt me
I never will be good enough
That is clear for me to see

It seems she is always sick, and
I am always there for her
Sometimes I ask myself why
She never treats me any better

This heart does hurt inside
From all that she does say
I just can’t be good enough
No matter what I do each day

Sometimes, I feel like I’m drowning
From all the tears I hold inside
No matter how bad she hurts me
I never let her see me cry

SuzieQ~
You know what?
You SHOULD let her see the tears ...
and make darned sure she know that SHE causes them~

No one ... NO one has a right to continue to hurt you ... honey, sometimes they only do what we 'let' them do~

You deserve more ... expect it from others~
As a matter of fact ... DEMAND it from others~
Love ya' Sue~

Sue

I know what iwant & should say but I'm not going to.The Girls are right, but you know that anyway & will keep on doing what your heart tells you to regardless because if you do what you really ought to, you'll feel even worse.  Damned if you do & damned if you don't...Right?

Take care

My dear sweet Sue, she may appreciate you more than what may seem apparent. People ~ even those who love us ~ can strike out at us when they are hurting. As long as we are doing our best, it is ALWAYS good enough for Our Father.

Sorry for what you're going through.

Love & healing hugs,

Linda

Dear (((((Sue)))) this hurts!

There are such personalities who can't show love and appreciation, I have known them, it's tough. But despite the pain I suggest you just pretend your Mom loves you very much (she surely does but is unable to express it), so that it is easier for you to offer your own love. Remember true love is unconditional.
What you do to her, you do to God and be assured He knows your heart.

love and hugs
Margherita

Interesting and sad...I often listen to a woman named Dr. Laura on radio station am 990 and she offers good choices for situations such as this...she also has many books...some that I have read...one was called "Bad Childhood Good Life" by Dr. Laura Schlessinger...James

A clue here is "she is always sick" She is making herself sick with her negative attitude and in that way is punishing herself even more than she punishing you.
Don't let her make you sick too. Holding everything inside will do just that.I'vge learned that a calm but very direct manner is the best way to deal with this kind of person. I have had to deal with some of these kinds of issues myself so I know how you are feeling.

Hey Sue!

I think you should be yourself and dont let her get to you!

you have the power to stop, and  you shouldn't care what other people say, you know whats true, and this other person I guess doesn't really know what respect is/

Have A Wonderful Day!

Sue, I agree with Margherita,  and you just have to remember this is her personality and she doesn't know how to show you her love any differently. You can just "let it go" for your own sanity and do what you feel you must. It is appreciated even if she can't let you know that.
