you said it bothered you sometimes the names in my tattoos were not of women but of highways and made you wonder did I ever really love anything or anyone but tomorrow behind the bars with my hands praying to speed and the curves of a stranger with soft shoulders and secrets that show up later when the sun is down and I am alone with the night wearing her whispers on my leather and her nails in my skin deeper than a rosary or other kinds of forgivenesses then by your eyes, I knew you knew ________________ daark |
