There were so much corns,
so many cows and so much hay
as we smelt the farm
by returning at home in the evening,
There was so much happiness
to dash the hen’s eggs
that we take the risk of being scolded.
Animals seized our spirits
for better or for worse
so that we slept
as them of a sound sleep
on our pillows white as with some milk,
in our beds dug by the shouts of pigs,
the mooing of cows
and the vastness of fields.

Oh, I love it!  This must have been that summer that you were talking about.  I can feel the whole ambiance of the farm with its wonderful smells and the sounds of the animals.

Dear Yann, these are magical memories!!

I can relate. I was familiar with such scenery and atmospheres back home in Switzerland. Oh those scents of the fields! I miss them deeply.

Love,
Margherita

Thank you Owl, Prasad, Margherita, EA and Alison, yes indeed when I think of these summers, it was a wonderful time but we were not conscious of it, we just played all day long with nothing to bother except the time for lunch and the time for sleeping....

Thank you very much for your nice comments,
