I am 'deer
'Deer I am
I am not
a man named Sam.

Would I read
Dr. Moose?
Not the poet
I would choose.

I would not read him late at night
Would not read him in the light.
I would not read him in the dark
Would not read him in the park.

I would not read Dr. Moose
He's a man who thinks he's Zeus.

I would not read him on a plane.
Would not read him on a train.
I would not read him on a goose.
I do not like Dr. Moose.

Would I read
Dr. Moose?
No, he has
a screw too loose.

Won't read him in my underwear
Won't read him while I'm sitting bare.
Won't read him eating my couscous
I do not like Dr. Moose.

I will read my Hemingway.
Reading Poe will make my day.
I will read them day and night
I will read them with delight.

But Dr. Moose will not suffice.
I will not read him. He's not nice.
'Deer's an ace but he's a deuce.
I will not read Dr. Moose.

Should I read
Dr. Moose?
His poetry
Is too obtuse.

I will not read him on my stool.
Will not read him by the pool.
I will not read him from my chair.
Will not read him anywhere.

So stick my big head  in a noose.
I will not read Dr. Moose!
