Welcome! Ah...you bring me grapes!
Your kindess shall be sevenfold -
wine to warm you, skins to drape
and for this time, forsake the cold.

I'm grateful for your company
not too many brave the stone
of my facade of treachery
so most nights I lie alone.

I keep the fire from the books.
The thoughts of men are dear to me.
Help yourself to take a look,
but trust? Beware of history.

I will not argue truth to lie.
Read. Then let your heart decide.

wonderfully interesting 'penning!'

I am especially fond of the ending!:

"keep the fire from the books.
The thoughts of men are dear to me.
Help yourself to take a look,
but trust? Beware of history.

I will not argue truth to lie.
Read. Then let your heart decide."

YES...keep that fire from those books!

v. serious and long-sustained applause for
this 'write!'
