Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

0 posted 2008-03-16 09:32 PM

i miss the dance
cheek to cheek
eyes locked
bodies intertwined
wine spilled from
mouths locked in kisses
i do miss the dance

suggestive secrets
murmured silently
lips brushing skin
neck, lips, nuzzling
cheek-to-cheek
bodies pressed
promises understood
as we danced

tango, rumba
blatant desire
tangible need
knee bent
silent invitation
accepted by fingers
dancing solo
across your chest

i miss the dance
see my eyes
entreating, asking
would you like
to dance with me?
again?

i love you
to dance with me

Alison,

Yes, those were the days--dancing every Friday night down at the "Y".  It was a beautifully innocent time of young passion.

No wine though, wine wasn't allowed, no, not at the "Y".

You made me smile.
Thank you for that - and for reading.

Thank you, Bobby, for sharing that memory.  I just remembered one of my favorite dances -- let's see if I can do it justice in a poem.

D

Nothing better than a good goat rope - unless it is a good sizzle or maybe a sizzling goat rope.

RDB,

You are a lovely friend.  Thank you for the kind words (maybe you are a tiny bit biased?).
