Not to be bragging but I have the finest Woman that's ever been born, I wrote this for her...

Dreaming of You

I dreamed that I held you last night
and I dreamed that I held you so tight
that the Love that would follow
would swallow my sorrow
I dreamed that I held you last night

And I dreamed that your Love is divine
a Love that is sweeter than wine
I gave all of my money
for a taste of your honey
I dreamed that your love is divine

Now I'm just a poor man you see
I don't know what she sees in me
but when I lay beside her
I can feel the Love that's inside her
and I know with her is where I should be

So I ask you just let me sleep
dream the dream of forever so sweet
with you right beside me
to hold me, to guide me
with True Love the one promise we'll keep...

Joe,

Don't capitalize "Love".  It draws too much attention to itself, and away from the meaning of the poem.

Hi, Joe! I was so pleased to see that you posted a poem in Open!

~ and a lover-ly poem, it be! It sounds as though your good woman is deserving of the good man that she has!

Joe, as Linda said, nice to see you posting in open but I hope you continue to post in your former 'Spiritual' home. By the way, I have visited your Come sit by the Drum site & it is fascinating. I do not think many of the visitors to open go into spiritual journeys, so may I please request that you repost Grandfather & the young boy in here ?  I am sure it would be greatly enjoyed in this forum    Cheers  John

Oh, yes, Joe! I did indeed, read your poem "Mesa Verde" that you included in your reply to my poem "The Great Spirit Cried" ~ and I had left a response (which is on the second page of my post). It was fantastic!!!
