Ah, sunset!
so lovely to the eye,
but so heavy, sometimes,
to the heart.

Nature, in all its
splendor, reminds us
of recurrent endings.

The stars come out,
but not before daylight’s end,
and the stars will vanish
when daylight returns again.

Oh, if only there was something
about me as persistent
and enduring as darkness,
but filled with living light!
I, temporal being, braving
approaching night.

This is my third post of the day. I've had a great time reading, posting, and sharing a few thoughts with you.

Welcome Gilead,
You have a wonderful talent.  I especially enjoyed the image of night, turning to day, and likewise.  A picture painted in a few, very poignant words.
