of distant there is a narrow
where we spend our secrets
under velvet sky dancers

old truck easy with running boards
and you bare foot in smiles
laughing to the mail box

it is a mile into nowhere
and we are further hidden
alone to be lovely lonely

staying away from our eden
as we blink our eyes slowly
then hurry to the hillsides

to fill again our hungry eyes
