The Scent of Her

Oh for a breath, a taste of the fragrance,
a wispy hint of the perfume she wears,
warmed by the heat of her cheek,
the length of her neck, the cleft of her breast.
Oh for just a breath, I’d give days of life,
lengths of soul, the years I have left –
all for a breath, the scent of her.
