Visceral Songs

Some ancient power aroused
From white sleep to supple morn
The beating jungle magic at the skirt of brilliant dawn
Unleashed to prowl my consciousness aware and new
Pull back the covers into hills of midnight blue
Summon hours flexed in poise that darkness candles to
Listen with your heart the songs that sing
Rippled to your ear in every breath I bring
Soft upon your face the truth of all I am
Some ancient power aroused made lioness to lamb
Muscle ripples bone, the mistress of remand
Mouthing words into the very touch that speaks my native hand
Sing, both deep and clear, oh animal divine
And tenderly deliver every ounce of love’s resign

Always you offer amazing poetic works, dear TD.
You are divinely inspired I would say.

Love.
