(Here's a new harmonious-sounding summer song, with emotional undertones inspired by a chat I had with an aging flower child, who gets emotional seeing how it just doesn't feel the same now as it did during the "Summer of Love" on this 40th anniversary, but also remains optimistic that the essence and ideals resonate with many, and I wrote this out of inspiration and warmth of him. )

Supernumerary Rainbow
By: Noah Eaton
7/17/07

You can still see for miles,
you can still find unlimited devotion,
you can still skip the light’s fandango,
where emotions cartwheel across the ocean.

You can still vault any mountain,
you can still nurture your adolescence,
tug it along like a security blanket,
laughing playfully at your senescence.

Just take a swallow dive,
into your favorite lullaby,
let it cradle you,
into interstellar overdrive.

You’re the reflection behind each rainbow,
kissed by sprightly waves of light,
confirming the covenant,
between the spirit of your time,
and the summer sunshine.

You can still dream a world without gravity,
you can still see the world in lemon mauve and green,
you can still put a symphony in your pocket,
wearing the tiara of a May queen.

From inside the garden,
we’ve seen the supernumerary rainbow,
where chalk hills glisten,
and the wildflowers grow,
from inside the garden,
you’re the supernumerary rainbow,
constituted of light and water,
with an amaranthine tone.

You can still sense a promising coming of age,
you can still sense an internal solstice glowing,
you can still sense how the jug of Aquarius,
never stops overflowing…

You’re the reflection behind each rainbow,
kissed by sprightly waves of light,
confirming the covenant,
between the spirit of your time,
and the summer sunshine.
You’re the reflection behind each rainbow,
kissed by sprightly waves of light,
confirming the covenant,
between the spirit of your time,
and the summer sunshine.

Gosh, this one almost got past me! ~ and that would have been a shame!

I especially enjoyed this stanza ~

"You’re the reflection behind each rainbow,
kissed by sprightly waves of light,
confirming the covenant,
between the spirit of your time,
and the summer sunshine."

~ Kind of reminds me of you, Angel Man.

Love and rainbow light,

Linda

P.S. I let out a gasp as I saw the last picture! Divinely awesome!

This is delightful to read Mr. Angel.
I esp love:
You can still dream a world without gravity,
you can still see the world in lemon mauve and green,
you can still put a symphony in your pocket,
wearing the tiara of a May queen

I'm putting a symphony in my pocket for this day!
