Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2007-08-23 08:35 AM

Looking at the cover,
of that old tv guide,
time travel became possible,

It was the 70's,
The Days of Our Lives,
an old Soap show,

My mind went back,
to when I was a
little girl,

Playing in front,
of the floor model,
brown, wood, tv.

Days my mother and I,
would hang the laundry
out on the line,

Come in for some lunch,
a bologna sandwich,
some chips, and a
Coke.

We would sit,
watching the soaps,
The Price is Right,

Let's Make A Deal,
then we would
gather the laundry,

I can smell that smell,
fresh, clean, off the line,
sweet like spring flowers.

At night, when I would lay,
snug inside those sheets,
I would sniff and smell,

Thinking about the day,
without worries, or fear,
without knowledge or death.

Oh how I wish,
the world could return,
to those days,

Yesterdays,
filled with life,
and love in simplier times.

Love in simpler times ... ... how true and sometimes we look back at the past with fond nostalgia. But we had problems too those days and sacrifices had to be made for what we have achieved this far. With strong emphasis for customer services, excellent internet speed with cheap price, thus we had to move forward. At one time we are the consumers, another time providing the services needed in a developed economy.
