Decorum to Dream
18 August 2007

Today, her day,
where a night had never been.
A man of her distance past,
caught and captured upon time.

A timid existence,
private, passion of accord.
Two loves, or friendship united,
one to the other in mercy addressed.

To walk in a winter,
and know her summer was true.
The guardian of angels,
children of her blood of birth.

Decoration, decorum,
what did it mean.
Another hope, the light,
of another to dream.

“Knowing what paint a painter uses or
having an understanding of where he was in
the history of where he came from doesn’t
hurt your appreciation of the painting.”
Jodie Foster (1962- )
US Actress

Thank you for leaving you note, and for the record this quote is genuine and about my poetry.
