Dark side of the Moon.

“Dance of the Flowers”

A subtle breeze creeps round the eaves
To wake the jasmine scent
It stirs the leaves in gentle tease
That’s much more than a hint

In soft light hue before the dew
The jasmine seeks a dance
With Wedgwood blue, the lilac true
In sweet moonlight romance

None can compare with quite the flare
Of fragrance in the night
Arise and share aroma there
From lusty blooms delight

All intertwined like potent wine
Their essence soothes to mend
A cocktail fine and oh sublime
A lovely perfect blend

Throughout the night in pale moonlight
Like leather and fine lace
Till morning light all is right
They dance in one embrace

MoonShadow,

When I read this aloud it just resonated!
Beautiful thoughts, words, rhythm, and of, course, blending of sounds.   Very much enjoyed!

GS... Thank you for your respons (sigh).

  James... Thank you. Much appreciated.

Nakedthoughts...The view is so beautiful when seen through the heart and instead of the eyes.

Miscelanea... The music, yes... a soul song. Meant to be spoken aloud, yes.

Loved it; just loved it. You had my sense of smell just tingling with this beauty. The setting with the pale moonlight just put this one over the top for me and my imagination.

gentle Sir MoonShadow
I can only imagine what it must be like
to dance in your garden

fair takes my breath away

the smell of your jasmine
wafts afar
lingers in heartsong

Milady Kate, the fragrance may be fleeting, but the memory lingers an eternity. Thank you for your kind words.
