Sweet and innocent I use to be
I fell for a boy we all can see
we have learned so much
teenage years were hard enough

I started out on my own
Scared and afraid to be alone
my boy was their for me
six months into it, had he had enough of me

we have our ups and downs
he still makes me smile, never frowns
he moved in  with me
one year in were happy as can be

were eighteen now, still young and free
two years together, he still puts up with me
I'm pleased he will always be mine
if life's like this were going to be fine.

Welcome to Pip!

I love your poem because it holds an optimistic outlook on the future.

Teen-age love can develop into something lasting, I have seen that more than once.
When heart and mind collaborate it works.

It's great that you started writing poetry, go on with enthusiasm!

love

Young love is something that is VERY hard to come by. When you do come by it, it is something that has many obstacles along the way. Though, I feel that a couple who becomes developed emotionally at a young age stands a better chance of lasting. Loyalty, though, is a fickle friend. Trust is hard to give, so choose wisely in who you put it to!
