Timeless

The writing on the wall
holds all the memories of my touch,
placed there over the years
to display my love of life,
not knowing the hold
it would have on me.

So hard ...
to leave a place I call my own,
the comfort within myself,
having to let go,
beginning the walk alone
where inspiration is always a step ahead
and truth is just a sport,
waiting for the win.

Who can understand, not even I,
looking beyond tomorrow
wanting to be guided by those feelings,
to blend those thoughts into a mix
that will warm my winter
and take me to that "somewhere in time".

M

Brilliantly written, M.
Nostalgia for the past and the future, juxtaposed in the present.
Remembering a movie visual, when billowy curtains connected two soul mates in that 'timeless' moment.

I'd love to knock at your door and have tea together feeling the warmth of now, where everything has its due place ... to make you love life and everyday's new opportunity.

Beautiful melancholic write with perspective.

Love and hugs.

M and M, thank you for the kind responses.
I am a Cancer ( a moonchild...which I like better) and have my many mood swings but a good life is not as easy to capture at the moment unless I accept choices that are not in my interest of heart.

I particularly like the beginning of this ‘write!’:

“The writing on the wall
holds all the memories of my touch,
placed there over the years to display my love of life,
not knowing the hold
it would have on me.”

Also many other REALLY grand-fine lines here!...such as:

“where inspiration is always a step ahead
and truth is just a sport”;

Applause!!

Beautiful thoughts and I was not surprised that you are a moonchild. I have studied astrology most of my life and have learned that certain signs have very definite traits. My grandaughter is also a moonchild.
Emotional, moody and deep.
