Missing Seems To Be Forever

I was thinking of the pain
one gains to love a sweetheart
for a year or more and than you
lose them when they walk out the door,
saying they don't love you anymore.

Then I thought, what of the pain
of one that was married for thirty or
even fifty years and then one or the
other doesn't stay, because we grow
old and pass away.

And then I thought that either way,
once you've loved someone and they
go away, missing seems to be forever.

Oh I don't know Huan, I think when someones been married for thirty, forty, or fifty years and then loses the spouse they loved to a disease and old age that they lived a dream and reality...and so is life...James
