Invisible Love

As the morning dew enchants a dawn,
Held within a wordless talk,
The world does stand aside for her,
Her beauty radiant so sure.

As a baby born to mother’s love,
And hearts do beat in hidden time,
Soft beginnings, whispered words,
Ever captured in my mind.

As children’s laughter, reigns on me,
Descending from some distant place,
Alive, awakened life’s meaning,
But silent tears still do still embrace.

Though no one knows but God above
The windows of my saddened soul,
For man knows only what he sees,
And never this invisible love.

But I can never tell these words,
My soul does beg to set me free,
My heart beats timelessly with his,
Yet still my lungs won’t let me breathe.

Without him I’m but no one,
I hurt, I pain as days do pass,
Locked within me silent screams,
Begging, “Give me my heart back!”

But time is never kind to those,
Whose love is but one- way,
So I should end this romance lost,
But I will always pray,

That he will take my soul to his,
To save my solitude and pain,
‘Till then I must carry this lone woe,
To face another lonely day.

Beautifully written, dear illusiveangel, but quite sad! Nonetheless I say love, even if it is one way, is never to be considered wasted. But we need to get clear on what we really want. Life has so many surprises for us if we open our eyes.

Dear Angel, love can be invisible and Elusive, but as Margherita pointed out, it is never wasted.
