       October Dreams

Through these tangled hills
on this grand October night,
clear-crystal echoes of
  distant bells
ripple the sky in song,
and cleanse the soul
in formless joy
that tickles the mind
to contemplate
the fine pale geometry
of an Autumn moon…
and to dance through clouds
of timeless, fleeting dreams
in self-enlightened recognition,
(with sight beyond all defenses)
like reflection and form
truly meeting in a mirror
for the very first time…
to be lost in permanent
  wonder!

"distant bells
ripple the sky in song"
I love the sound of bells...
and with your words, I can SEE these sound ripples

Bruce~

October's dreams have birthed me
many a long year ago
Set my feet upon the poetic path
that I have come to know~

Contemplation of elation
falls across the shadow-of-my-knowing
Through October's dreams
I shall always be going~

AGAIN, my friend ... you splash me with inspirational ink~
Thank you~

How did I miss this one? Greatly enjoyed, especially -

"the fine pale geometry
of an Autumn moon…
and to dance through clouds
of timeless, fleeting dreams
in self-enlightened recognition,
(with sight beyond all defenses)"

and

"like reflection and form
truly meeting in a mirror
for the very first time…
to be lost in permanent
  wonder!"

Beautifully written with an eternal message!

The vapors clear, to expose the geometry of a perfect October moon.
Signal to the sea, to blow wet upon the land, and fill the voids between night and morning.

Great imagery!
Inspiring choice of words Bruce.
