Of Chairs and Seas

The Pacific Ocean –
east of Japan,
mid-California – in the surf . . .
an aluminum folding chair
slant-cocked left,
seat submerging with every wave,
looks across the sea
as if anticipating –
empty.

Doll,
last weekend’s toy
ebbs and recedes,
settles, rocking back and forth
with the waves . . .

- in the surf,
an aluminum folding chair
slant-cocked left –
empty no more.

JWesley~
You ALWAYS spin a poetic tale that is captivating~

This one definitely is that~

I can 'see' the scene~
