Refrain:
Whenever Autumn falls to land
in orange colored hue
She opens up her beauty store
especially for you

I.
September is the month of year
when Autumn slowly wakes
She's turning Summer colors brown
only few weeks it takes

II.
The roses let their petals flow
on soft wind's breeze to ground
The mice and hamsters hide their nuts
which under trees they found

Refrain:
Whenever Autumn falls to land
in orange colored hue
She opens up her beauty store
especially for you

III.
Below the yellow fallen leaves
the hedgehogs dig their holes real deep
They lower down their temperature
before they fall to sleep

IV.
The weeping willows weep some more
when they are growing bold
And men are piling stocks of wood
for stoves to keep out cold

Refrain:
Whenever Autumn falls to land
in orange colored hue
She opens up her beauty store
especially for you

V.
Soft blowing winds turn into storms
gray clouds appear in sky
The rain is forming little streams
and all the flowers die

VI.
The farmers plow their muddy land
their harvest's been brought in
The cows lie in their stables warm
soon winter will begin

Refrain:
Whenever Autumn falls to land
in orange colored hue
She opens up her beauty store
especially for you

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Oh, Titia! What a lovely ballad! Now if only I were able to listen to it! That would be the cherry on top ~ or the colorful crown on the maple! lol

Thoroughly enjoyed!

Sending you a warm, autumnal hug,

Linda

Thanks to all who took the time and effort to read my little scribblings.

And Linda, you definitely wouldn't want to hear me singing LOL My voice will scare the crocodiles out of the water.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow
