(This is a melancholically-romantic new ballad I wrote, gushing from all my emotional thoughts and feelings as of late of being a late-bloomer in terms of love and desiring stronger than ever before to be given a chance to love someone, where I got the title inspiration in that, deep down in me, it feels like winter in Reykjavik, Iceland, where I only get a glimpse of daylight every day like that of love, but deep down believe that beautiful things must come to late-bloomers, and suddenly when love blossoms in late-bloomers it feels like summer in Reykjavik, where the nights must be almost as bright as the days every day, which just the thought makes me cry emotionally. )

Reykjavik (Four Hours Of Daylight)
By: Noah Eaton
10/1/07
.
.
.
Four hours of daylight passed me by,
still aches to turn away…

…the little sun I see hangs low in the sky,
slips off the balustrade to my dismay…

…hugging this January horizon,
in a state of disarray…
.
.
.
And the glare of a thousand lampposts,
keeps blinding my eyes,
yet I never get a glimpse of you,
and my longing’s apprised,
I’ve been told there’s a summer here,
where the nights are almost as bright as the days,
maybe then I’ll see your face through the haze…

…see your face through the haze…
.
.
.
The rain’s been pouring torrentially,
the moon feels like a stranger here…

…steam from the hot springs clouds my mind,
beyond the silence there’s nothing more sincere…

…does it break your heart that the more you desire,
the more dramatic what you desire disappears…
.
.
.
We’re just two late-bloomers,
feeling we have everything to lose,
it’s not that we’re afraid,
we’re just easily bruised,
if we make it through January,
then there’s reason to ascertain,
maybe we’ll see each other through the haze…

…see each other through the haze…
.
.
.
.
.
I can’t take my eyes off of you
but I’ve never even seen your face…
.
.
.
I’ll touch you with sentimental destiny,
eternal daylight in your sleep,
can you feel me through the haze…
.
.
.

Whoo hooo!  A good one Noah!  Liked this especially, it’s not that we’re afraid,
we’re just easily bruised,
By the way, you know that all things good come to those that wait right?

Noah, I have been missing your sweet presence and poetry!

I found this heart spill, especially tender.

"I’ll touch you with sentimental destiny,
eternal daylight in your sleep,
can you feel me through the haze…"

~ Your dream girl doesn't know what she's missing out on! She better find her way to you, or someone else will steal you away and keep you for herself!

Love to you, Angel Man!

I read it twice... Noah, and I am amazed at your ability to capture things in a way that is so unreal. I love it.

Great write Noah but don't loose heart, it is said that good things come to those who wait, keep faith and keep your chin up and good luck.

May the Angels provide and arrange this meeting for the joy of both!

Your words are extremely poignant, dear Noah!

Beautiful song of your longing heart.

Love and hugs.
