It is there
in the early morning hours
when steam still rolls
off a cup a' joe

that I hear your hello
lightly brush against
the curve of my throat

as the sunrise
watches the dark
slowly slip away

smoothly

in whispering sensations.

your so smooth

I totally sense the deliciously indescribable effect of the mix of memories,
morning sunlight, and the first scent of coffee in this wonderful 'write'!

serious, sustained applause!!

This sadly beautiful poem slithers delicously over the senses and emotions.  Thank you, Donna.
