Hand Carved Caress

Pine, planed in the fervor of a subtle moment
Shared snap shot to air wave, that touched my heart
Threaded pulse inspired your commitment
From inception to creation
Cutting the doors twice
When they swelled in your sweat

Much like me
Virgin wood, turned and fashioned
Sturdy yet fragile
You will never know
How pride in you overflowed in me

Oak inlay and the stain of your fingers
Still crimson in their stroke across my soul
Dreams and imagination stoke glow
Yet this is all I ever need to know
Will we build our bed
Across hand laid tile
Or would the forest spread
Lend to us eternal smile

Love and all it's facets is still pretty new to me, and that poem definately left a new impression behind. Lovely imagery, it all fits the theme so perfectly!

A hand carved beauty.  Nice writing, TD.
