I don't want to fight, but I don't want to fall
I want my right to be happy
I want the right for my heart to beat freely
And why should someone deprive me from that?
Why should I stand back and watch what I love
Be taken from my grasp before my eyes?
And I am told to do nothing, to accept this?

I am not that caitiff that sits back
I refuse to let go of what was rightfully mine
I cannot go through life knowing I made no effort
I cannot wimp out and accept something else
I will be brave and face my fear, my heart and all

If I fail I will not look back with any regrets
Nothing can change what is already done
And in my eyes you would be the cretin
The wuss who ran when it got to hard to stand
Because you could not accept the glares from
unapproving eyes that do not agree on what we feel

In the end when all is said an done they will be gone
And we are left in a room of only our two beating hearts
What then? Will it all be worth it then?
When the room is filled with silence and we are alone?
When the world is at our feet, are they there to come along?
No its just you and I holding on, two hands entwined
Its just you and I

My love is not for them, my love is for thee
Do not get what we have confused with the eyes of the world
And what we agree to live on, pray on
Let that be of our doing, not old fashioners breathing
down our backs cause they don’t approve
In the end everyone can’t be made happy

But last time I checked it was you inside your own skin
And I inside my own, I was told to make me happy
What were you told to do?

I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health

Interesting questioning and showing your strength and determination to fight for your love.

I think we have all the right to be happy and as long as this happens to be in harmony with heaven's laws, it is good.
